A Word About Watchmen Of America

A Word About Watchmen Of America

There are many places on my respective websites that indicate Franke Schein, Alaska Watchmen, and The North American Survival Alliance is not associated with the Watchmen Of America (WOA) website or its affiliates in any manner whatsoever.

Though I support all aspects of the US Constitution, and the Bill Of Rights; the website calling itself Watchmen Of America is in no way connected with, affiliated with, associated with, or even remotely part of my websites—much less shares in my personal opinions and views.

What really stands out, is that this website, and many of its members claim to be survivalists, and are actively recruiting new members to learn survival skills. Yet; it is abundantly clear that the website is about as close to survival, as trying to breed cats with dogs. The administrators of this website are aware of the rising concern regarding civil preparedness, and are blatantly using distraction in a foul attempt to deceive people into joining their cause. This website is a militia website, with very close ties to the sovereign citizen movement, as well as racist organizations that make no qualms about their ideologies.

Their particular website, as well as every associated chapter thereof, has been included in the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of militia groups. Additionally, many of the chapters of WOA ascribe to the ideologies persistent within the Sovereign Citizens movement, as well as many of the radical white-power ideologies, Jew-hater groups, and other assorted racists organizations—none of which I agree with, endorse, or claim as my own. As a matter of fact, I oppose everything these groups espouse.

The administrator operating the Watchmen Of America website falls into several of the aforementioned categories by virtue of the members, and organizations that he supports and displays on the website. The fact that he is operating this “for-profit” website stands in stark contradiction to the established regulations imposed by The Social Security Administration, and other public assistance agencies at both the Federal and State levels within his home state.

Additionally; the WOA website claims to be a “Militia Support Group” providing, uniforms, gear, equipment, firearms, and training to its members. When in fact very little of these services and products have actually been delivered to the members that have paid for it. Over the last year, there is a growing number of people and groups that have withdrawn their support and participation in this fraudulent scheme because the contractual obligations have not been delivered as promised.
Those few members that have received some of the promised gear, quickly found that the cheap imported products from Asia are of inferior quality, do not hold-up under field use, and are generally worthless. There remains a growing dissatisfaction within this area.

One only has to glance at the various webpages throughout this shameful website, to see the many “donations” buttons begging for money. On nearly every page, the administrator is begging the membership and viewing public for cash donations. Oftentimes, there are products, videos, books, calendars, and other offers for sale, that have been illegally obtained through copyright infringement, or outright theft from the internet, and its respective owners. Many examples can be found within the Patriot Resistance Website, as well as the Watchmen of America domain.

The original image can be found here:

A letter is being drafted to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office as well as the United States Attorney General, in order to communicate concerns regarding the illegal contracts offered by the administrator(s) of WOA and its associated websites. Particularly, the absence of any arbitration agreement in the event of contract default, as well as notarization by a legitimate state licensed agent. These two areas should be cause for alarm when entering into contractual agreement with this organization. The absence of these two areas thereby invalidates their contracts with current and former members that have participated in this scandalous program.

Of even more concern, are the many reported instances whereupon the administrator refuses to refund money paid by the members who are desirous of cancelling their agreement with WOA. This alone, contradicts every know concept of business ethics, as well as various laws and regulations, and may in fact, eventually lead to a class action law suit, if not the outright criminal charges being brought against the website and its administrator’s, as well as any serving officer having complicity within the scope of this fraudulent program.

Additionally, there exists no public records of any business enterprise calling itself Watchmen of America, Patriot Resistance, nor does any such business entity exist within the State of Kentucky, or registered under the Internal Revenue Service. Perhaps, the additional income realized by the website administrator is not being reported, nor are the various local subsistence/welfare agencies being advised of the additional income sources experienced by the administrator through the operation of this on-line business venture.

Perhaps, if the truth were to be known; that all of the donations are merely a scheme perpetuated at the hands of the website administrator whose only goal is to increase his personal income levels, and live large at the expense of the website members who are oblivious to the manner in which they are being fleeced by a slick charlatan in poor health hiding additional income from the IRS and other agencies.

I suspect, that in time, those involved in this heinous scam, will be called to the carpet to answer for their actions. Let us all hope that this day arrives sooner—before yet another person is conned into “donating” their hard earned cash.

Societal Collapse:

In a recent posting I discussed the probabilities, and ramifications of what could happen to America during an economic collapse.

Using historical events as a basis for my research, it is very easy to understand what America is facing. If Greece is but just one example, then we as a nation will be facing some very tough times

in the coming months.  Another economic collapse could stall every industry in America, and like a dark cloud—hang across the country for several years before slowly experiencing a return to

normalcy.

Nightmare foretold if Greece heads for euro exit

In Athens, the homeless are on the streets in growing numbers, soup kitchens feed twice as many people as a year ago, and the poor are diving into garbage bins in search of scrap they can sell.

Greece is close to breaking point as it struggles with austerity targets set by creditors, but this is just a foretaste of the nightmare of unrest, hunger and even anarchy that could engulf the debt-crippled nation if it is forced out of the euro.

If the exact economic impact of such a move is hard to nail down - newly issued drachmas devalued by up to 70 percent, runaway inflation, a banking meltdown, a collapse in trade - the implications for ordinary Greeks crushed by the debt crisis are even harder to predict.

Without international bailout cash, salaries and pensions would go unpaid and violence, political extremism and uncontrolled emigration could quickly follow.

"NIGHTMARE SCENARIO"

"There will be shortages in basic staples. Without fuel, the army and the police would not be able to move their vehicles. After a long period, things will return to a better balance. But during the first transitional phase we would be experiencing a nightmare scenario," Provopoulos said.

Survival Test:

Yellowstone (Super Volcano) Eruption

By Franke Schein

Copyright 2012 All Rights Reserved

Synopsis:

At 11:18 pm seismic detectors located through Yellowstone National Park indicate that a massive earthquake swarm continues to increase with each hour. Hot springs and fumarole temperatures swing upwards, Large swatches of land immediately rise, while other areas sink into the ground creating large holes.

National Geological Survey Agencies remain quiet, though a steady stream of government vehicles begin pouring into the area. Base camps are established as far away as Rock Springs and Evanston Wyoming.

At approximately 02:21 AM local time; Yellow Stone Caldera erupts with frightening consequences.

Fiery boulders the size of semi-trucks are blown skywards. The initial eruptions sends massive amounts of thick ashes 18-Miles into the skies.

The resultant Pyroclastic flow wipes out every city within 100-miles around the volcano. Roads, bridges, houses, and millions of acres of woodlands are instantly vaporized—along with several hundred thousand people. Wildfires rage across large portions of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Smoke clouds darken the skies in those areas.

Within hours the ashes begin drifting downwards into the unaffected areas 300 miles away. Already the countryside is blanketed in 14-inches of volcanic ash. Scientists predict that most of central America will begin experiencing ash fall within twelve hours.

As the eruption continues unabated, the ashes reach into the upper trade winds, sending dark clouds heading towards Europe. All airlines cancel their flights, maritime shipping comes to a halt, and life on the planet slowly begins to wind-down in anticipation of what is yet to come.

Survival Test:

1.) What are the short and long term consequences of a Yellowstone Caldera eruption, and how would it affect you, and the people in your area?

2.) What preparations have you taken to counter this imminent threat?

3.) If you are unfortunate enough to live within 600 miles of Yellowstone, what will you do to save your life?

4.) What is the safest area in the United States during a Super Volcano eruption, such as Yellowstone?

5.) Do you feel that this scenario will affect you personally?

Survival: Moral Imperative

Moral Imperative

By Franke Schein

All Rights Reserved

Over the last few weeks my telephone has been ringing off the hook, and the email messages keep pouring in from around the world. It seems that a boatload of people are worried—seriously worried about what the immediate future will involve.

From the newbies just coming into the movement, to the hard-core survivalists; the questions are nearly the same:

· What will happen

· When will it happen

· How can I get ready for it

Let’s take this in a step-by-step approach in order to arrive at some logical answers.

“What Will Happen?”

I personally feel that an economic collapse is not only imminent, but that we are staring down into the dark abyss. One only has to look deep into what this collapse could mean to each of us down here on the streets.

Already the American Dollar is severely undercut. Several (hostile) state-players are doing their very best to destabilize the US Dollar, and by proxy, the economic livelihood of about 300-Million American Citizens. That fact alone, should send shock waves throughout the media, but the politically correct “talking heads” aren’t saying much about it. Political power play is most evident in this massive network silence. The reason is very simple: Every network is desirous of having a few key reporters sitting in the Whitehouse; speaking out against the administration’s foreign polices does little to insure a front row seat in the Whitehouse Press Room. Their silence is both a travesty towards America, and reeks to the high heavens of media bias for the sake of corporate profiteering.

The short and long term ramifications of an economic collapse are frightening. One only has to look backwards into the history of America, and the world, to see how this event will play out in our lives. Imagine a 1930’s style Depression, but on a much larger scale.

Capital manufacturing takes a plunge. Only those industries with guaranteed government contracts will remain. Many of the brand name factories and their distributors will fall by the wayside. The corporations growing, or distributing food products will fare well because people still need to eat. Of course the consumer prices will rise sharply, and the supply-side of the equation will come into play as the demand outsources the inventory and production values.

Critical fuel supply production will likewise take a nose-dive down into the abyss. Just like 1930, the price of gasoline will skyrocket until it is almost out of reach for most Americans. The government’s strategic reserve will have to be tapped, and in the long term it could result in a “rationing” of gasoline and other critical fuels. Ask your grandparents about “ration cards” and what all of that meant to them.

Once the manufacturing base goes down the crapper; other consumer supported industries will fail in less than three months.

Cellphone and Wireless carriers, as well as internet based services will struggle to remain afloat, and then eventually go bankrupt. Those carriers that manage to survive the first two quarters will have little choice but to raise prices. Again, the “supply and demand” will enter into the equation. Many families will have no choice but to disconnect from the internet, turn off their wireless devices, and return to a pre-technological mode of communications.

The good news; thousands of new car dealers will face bankruptcy, and the prices of new cars will plummet. Dealerships do not own the cars, they are just the purveyor of manufacturers finished products. Those with ample cash and get some rock-bottom prices—pennies on the dollar.

Of course; as usually happens, the greedy utility companies will reap tremendous profits. The cost for electricity, water, sewage, and natural gas will go through the roof. Imagine being forced to pay 500% more than what is paid right now. Expect this industry to profit at America’s misfortune—as they already are doing.

The nation’s financial industry will take a huge hit. The Dow Jones and other indexes will see a drastic drop in prices. Investors will panic, raise the prices, experience an immediate deficit as the S&P index falls to the basement. Investment accounts, 401K’s, Long-Term saving, as well as Mutual funds will wither and die a horrible death.

Local credit unions, and banks will likely fail in the first few months. The Mega-Banks will be forced to raise fees, and charge for every conceivable service that the bank offers its customers. As more and more banks fail, there will probably be long lines at the bank doors as panicked citizen try to get their cash back into their pockets. It could very well result in the Federal Reserve System installing protocols that limit the amount that can be withdrawn from respective consumer bank accounts. This will signal a massive financial collapse as banks are deluged with angry customers. It will probably get bloody at some point, and national guard troops could be stationed at the bank in order to keep the peace.

The Federal Reserve will be struggling to maintain an equitable balance within its own rank and file. Expect to see a reduction in the amount of money flowing back and forth as people turn towards a barter system. The black market will swing into action. Those with barter goods will fare reasonably well, but those that are unprepared will suffer badly.

Gold will take another hit. Those that have stockpiled gold as a hedge against severe inflation will be in a shock for their life. Those $1,600.00 good coins that were purchased last year, will go quickly. Expect to shell out a gold coin for simple things like gasoline, rice, bullets, beans—and other consumer commodities.

Welfare will become the norm, and the already overburdened state subsistence agencies will turn to the federal government for assistance. Schools lunch programs, Medicare and Medicaid will follow suit. Our senior citizens will feel the brunt of the collapse. Their $1300.00 a month stipend payment will be reduced as the consumer price index rises—their low dollar income-buying power will have drastic effects on senior’s purchasing power. Faced with increasing utility payments, undervalued buying power, and reduced social welfare assistance; many senior will choose to leave this world at their own hands. The nightly news reports will be filled with stories of suicide until the public becomes desensitized to these occurrences.

Across the country there will be a sudden increase in crimes against people and property. Looting will follow suit, along with rioting as angry-hungry people take to the streets. Bloodshed, and vigilante justice will take shape almost overnight. The “hanky stomping liberals” will quickly be faced with a choice of “correctness” or perish in the onslaught.

When the crime finally peaks, there will be a mass exodus from the cities. Armed groups will dominate the news, and eventually the local government will be forced to institute both a curfew, and martial law.

Civil disobedience will quickly come into play as heavily armed people take matters into their own hands. The price of ammunition, firearms parts, as well as the costs of guns themselves will skyrocket. Local gun stores and those department stores still having ammo inventories, will be quickly depleted. In some cases, the local government will have no choice but to seize and confiscate all firearms and ammunition. They will claim this measure is to keep the peace—in fact, it will only give rise to increased anarchism.

All in all; the average American will be facing severe difficulties. The loss of the financial system, manufacturing capability, as well as the decrease in consumer commodities, will, when combine with the loss of jobs, reduced buying power, and the destruction of the banking system—create a welfare state wholly dependent upon government assistance, social charity agencies, and leave people facing a world of criminal dominated nights where safety means being armed and alert.

But, there are others factors to consider beyond a total economic collapse. Events such as another terrorist attack, severe weather phenomenon, or natural disasters resultant of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or tsunamis, could plunge a large portion of the country into a dismal state . Events such a this could impact the economy outside of the localized areas—thus sending shockwaves throughout the region, as was the case during Hurricane Katrina.

“When Will It Happen?”

There is not one single person on the globe that can predict this eventuality with any certainty of precision. There are many factors at play, any exigent circumstances across the global arena has the potential to ignite catastrophes whose far reaching effects could reach Americas shores.

One of the significant discoveries centers around the fact that Illegal immigrants are fleeing back towards Mexico at an alarming rate. Yet, the birth of Hispanic children has risen sharply to the point that current index indicates that the Hispanic population in America has reached the all-important mark of 36%. It is predicted that by 2050 the Hispanic population will achieve a 56% index, thereby impacting the economy through reduced literacy, sub-standard wage scales, and loss of employment opportunities, as well as a closely related increase in Hill-Burton (type) medical loss experienced by hospitals around the country.

Severe weather has already wrecked large swatch of the country during the first five months of 2012. If this is the matrix to measure the next seven months that will follow; then America will be facing an increasingly dangerous world.

“How Can I Get Ready?”

As I have addressed throughout the last several years, it is imperative that survivalists come together in their respective areas. Small groups have a much better chance of getting through these calamities, than the “Lone wolf Survivalist” trying to get through each day all alone.

Having a large supply stockpile is absolutely outstanding, but it should be remembered that a family of four will have no chance against a small rouge group of anarchists intent on taking the stockpile by force of arms. One person cannot hope to stand against those odds. It requires the combined efforts of an extended “survival family” that has taken the time to research, strategize, plan, and prepare for these types of situations.

It must be remembered that primitive survival skills are a useful tool in the survivalists toolbox, but it must not be the only plan. If this is the case, failure is definitely imminent and non-withstanding from the onset. A survival plan should take into account the necessity of supplementing the food supplies with fresh meat and vegetable, but there are events that will preclude this.

· Volcanic Eruption

· Tsunami

· Wildfire

· Civil Unrest

· Martial Law

· Radiological Disaster

· Biological Disaster

· Chemical Disaster

I have talked about the need for a reality based survival plan that takes into account every conceivable scenario, every possible disaster, as well as a deep level of comprehension and understanding of what each requires in terms of surviving, as well as knowing how these events will unfold step-by-step.

Failure to plan, is not an option when survival is at stake. There can be no minimizing the threats or any aspects of it, no delusional fantasies, and a good survival plan leaves absolutely no room for assumptions based on fictional scenarios.

The North American Survival Alliance is the product of my own attempt to allow other people to experience a level of survival planning, as well as execution of those plans within the scope of reality.

In the last year the membership has grown throughout the country. But, there should be lots of people signing up. It is after all a no cost mechanism designed to help everyone get ready for whatever Man and Nature offers in the future. But I fear that most “preppers” out there are simply put—imposters pretending to be survivalists.

Survival panning dictates a constant research of resources, technologies, tools, and other aspects which enhance or better an already good survival plan. But the trend seems to have turned towards collecting gear, stockpiling weapons and ammunition, and getting caught-up in all of the conspiracy theories that are destroying the survival movement from within.

I choose to remain outside of that arena, and continue to surround myself with capable and dedicated survivalists (Not Preppers) that understand the message and warning that we have been blessed to hear throughout most of our lives.

If you have heard the message, and know the warning; then I am happy to call you a friend. Now take the time to reach out across the horizon and get in touch. Time is not your friend—my friend.

Survival Underground: Are you skeered

394042_347576951936315_100000520392689_1315989_1889722334_n

It’s uncanny the number of people and groups that have headed underground to bury themselves from the mainstream survival movement; due to some false assumption that Big Brother is watching them, and awaiting the opportunity to swoop in and snatch them from their beds.

Why On Earth Would They Do That?

Lets get something straight right now: They do not have the manpower, resources, or funding, to locate, identify, and catalog every survivalist or group operating the the country today—we number something along the lines of 45-MILLION PEOPLE.

Where is This All Coming From?

It is the result of sensationalism at the hands of a select group of paranoid delusionals that need to create controversy and strife in order to further perpetuate their own image of self-importance—because they have nothing else to offer…

These are the people that generally talk-the-talk, but have no clue how to walk-the-walk; the kind that thrives under the spotlights of attention, and that is all that they have in their repertoire of skills and experiences—lip service.

Real survivalists don’t give a rats ass about what the feds are doing. They go about the business of survival with a determined outlook, a straight-hitting reality based plan that takes into account all of the possibilities, and no amount of sensationalism will deter them from the plans that they have made. It’s the people that don’t have a plan that will suffer.

Trucking Denuded

321655_306082302752447_100000520392689_1185732_69029701_n

Having spent a number of years in Alaska, and then returning to the Lower-48 to work, I was utterly shocked at what has happened to the trucking industry down here since my absence. It’s simply appalling what has is going on out here, and I am shocked that the mega-carriers with all of their fancy lawyers and lobbyist, have allowed this tragedy to occur. The trucking industry has been castrated, denuded, and has become a train-wreck on a collision course with the future. It’s no wonder that the trucking industry has lost a quarter of a million experienced professional truck drivers.

The new ( so called) safety  laws are nothing more than yet another example of regulatory control imposed by a cadre of power-hungry paraprofessionals that are out of touch with reality. A reality which exists only in their minds, and is far removed from the realities of mainstream America.

Only in their minds can they sleep at night knowing full well that these laws are nothing short of absurdly insane, and will have absolutely no effect whatsoever within the realities that they have conjured up in their fragile minds. Let’s face facts, well documented facts. Most accidents involving commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles are the fault of the passenger vehicle’s driver. Not the other way around. So the safety aspect of these new laws just went out the window.

Exploring the new CSA, and what it means to carriers, as well as their drivers; represents the foulest of all monopolies that exists; slight-of-hand tactics designed to reach deep into the wallets of the carriers, and their individual driver-employees. These “smoke and mirror” tactics are not based upon safety, they exist to generate revenues in order to further perpetuate the existence of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. They, like other government agencies must establish and uphold their own existence, as well as show profitability while completing their assigned responsibilities. In fact, it has become so bad, that the FMCA should replace the American Eagle emblem depicted on their official logo, with the US Dollar Emblem.

No other industry in America forces a worker to be paid less than minimum wage; yet demands a 70-Hour work week with no provisions for over-time pay. No other industry in America forces a worker to work 14-Hours each day, without the benefit of a mandatory rest period. Yet each day millions of professional drivers are forced to adhere to these insane working conditions. Migrant farm laborers have more protection under the various minimum wage laws, and their respective labor laws, than the trucking industry does. An industry which insures the movement of the country’s gross national products on a global scale.

Truck drivers holding a commercial drivers license, are forced to adhere to more regulatory compliances than a commercial passenger jet pilot does. Each and every infraction is regulated to the point that the Constitutional provision of double jeopardy, and self-incrimination have been forced out of the equation. In no other industry can the authorities force a worker to produce evidence of guilt or misconduct, without a subpoena or warrant. Yet truck drivers have to produce not only a log book upon demand, but are also required to produce their fuel receipts, load documentation, as well as any electronic records stored within on-board computer systems.

A decade ago the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration passed legislation which made it illegal for a professional driver to have a radar detector in a commercial motor vehicle.  The radar detector issue was touted as having the potential in reducing the number of highway related fatalities. In fact, the reality of this new regulation brought an immediate and discernible increase in the revenues experienced by the state, and their respective counties and municipalities. That, and in itself, was the scope and intent of the radar-detector law, and it worked. Violation revenues increased to the point that various State Police Departments across the country, saw an immediate surplus of funds at fiscal year’s end. A high percentage of those funds were invested in new patrol officers and their police cruisers; who immediately went about the State’s business of traffic control—generating even more revenues, to the point that many State Police Departments became self-funding, and experienced phenomenal further growth of their surplus revenues.

The next step appeared in the form of yet another foul safety procedure: As each state increased the speed limit for passenger vehicles from 55 MPH to 65 MPH, the legislators decided that since most trucks are governed within the 65 mile per hour range; the loss of violation revenues would be problematic. Thus, while passenger cars roared across the interstate system at speed reaching upwards toward ninety; professionals drivers faced even stiffer fines if caught exceeding the speed limit by more than 6 miles an hour. Fines that were already out of control nearly doubled.

The next measure introduced the 12 Mile Per Hour Rule: If a CDL holder was caught driving over the speed limit by 12 MPH, the penalties were severe.  67 Miles and Hour in a 55-Zone resulted in a hefty fine, the administration of 5-7 Points on the driver’s record; and in many cases a suspension of the drivers license. This new law was designed to intimidate the trucking industry's driver work force. It did not affect any of the safety indexes, nor did it reduce the number of crashes, or crash fatalities within the transportation industry. In fact; the number of Truck-Car crashes increased dramatically due to a serious flaw in regulatory thinking—Slow moving trucks impeding the traffic flow resulted in a higher number of passenger vehicles slamming into commercial vehicles. All the while, the violation revenue base steadily climbed upwards into the state treasury coffers at an alarming rate. As is usually the case; the safety conscious public was duped again. Reports flowed in from across the country depicting the high number of car-truck crashes; it was one of those “See, we told you so” moments, and the public bought into the lie.

Now were are seeing the ultimate travesty playing out right in front of our noses. The Safety Hungry public wants trucks, and their drivers that operate within strict guidelines. It doesn’t matter that most new car television commercials show fast cars overtaking slow trucks, nor does it matter to these same safety conscious people are the one’s still slamming into trucks, cutting them off in traffic, or racing helter-skelter between exit ramps. What matters is that the huge trailer is blocking their view of the highway—and that is a situation that must be controlled. After all; they did pay their taxes last year, and what right does that big truck have in impeding their view, and holding up the flow of traffic when everybody is screaming to work at ninety miles an hour.

It’s absurd to be forced to drive for nearly eleven hours straight, because under these ludicrous laws, no longer can a trucker pull over near rush hour, and take a 2-3 hour nap. This creates unfavorable rush hour traffic, and demands that the driver remain seated throughout the fourteen hours while the proverbial clock is ticking away.

The Carrier Safety Act is nothing less than a symbol of ultimate government control. It stinks to the high heavens of judicial injustice at a level previously unheard of. It represents the culmination of a new breed of administrators who clearly have little understanding of the intricacies involving the cross-country distribution of consumer commodities, much less the needs and requirements of a truck driver that keeps the Gross National Product flowing from coast to coast, and sea to shining sea. As long as the carriers, drivers, and trucking association remain mute and docile on these matters, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will continue to dog the transportation industry with regulations and operating criteria which ultimately will destroy it from within.

Sustainability

Okay, lets explore something that should be on everyone’s mind:

A massive Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) just swept the planet’s electrical grid.

  • Power Grid is down
  • Car stop running
  • Computers are totally fried
  • Cell phones are burnt out
  • Television is a thing of the past
  • Airline travel is restricted to the government
  • The government has seized control of all grocery distribution centers
  • Armed guards/national guard are positioned at every grocery store
  • Martial law has been declared on a National level
  • Firearms are outlawed
  • Farm based agricultural industries receive the highest priority as critical infrastructure realignment
  • Schools are temporarily suspended
  • Gas stations are off-limits, and guarded

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE ELECTRICAL GRID IN YOUR AREA WILL BE DOWN FOR AT LEAST 1-YEAR

Examine this scenario in depth, and determine how you and yours will survive during the next twelve months.

How long will your current food supply last until it runs out?

How will you purchase supplies when your stockpile starts to erode?

What method will you utilize to insure a steady food supply exists?

Impending Doom:

On April 6th 2012 I stepped onto a jet departing Alaska, and headed for Denver Colorado. The flight was uneventful, and in a few hours I found myself wandering around SeaTac airport looking for something to munch during a five hour wait for the final hop into Denver International Airport.

I left Alaska to seek better paying employment. The economy in Alaska is pricey, while the job opportunities are dismal. Here in the Lower-48 States, at least the trucking industry is paying professional drivers much better than what Alaska based carriers could ever consider.

Over the course of just a few weeks I have spoken with many different people all across the country. From the young to the old, the rich to the poor, and the homeless to the underemployment; I have learned a great deal about the state of our economy, and the mood of the people who have allowed me a few moments of their time.

It’s uncanny that so many people are anxious of “something” that they are sure will occur real soon. I ask what that “something” means, and a vast majority of people feel like our way of life is being sucked right out from under our noses. That, and the omnipresent looming specter of economic collapse. Dissatisfaction with the way our elected leadership is handling these crisis, is also on the minds of many people. They seem to feel that the coming election is nothing but a farce, and that Obama will remain seated in office. That in itself causes much concern for the average person on the street. They simply do not want Obama as president for another term. Business owners, truckers, waitresses, mechanics, school teachers, civil engineers; these are the people down here on the streets of America that have been hurt the most by Obama’s domestic policies.

As the eighteen wheels of my mobile office hum along the interstates crisscrossing this great country, I am reminded of the plight of America whenever I pass through some small town that seems to be dying from a sever case of “Obamanomics”. Small town bars and grocery stores sit vacant. Farmer’s fields remain unplowed, discount stores going out of business, and a plethora of family owned businesses that are forever gone.  The huge cattle pastures of Montana are only half full. Whereas there used to be more cows that one could count, now the herds are much smaller—and that means the price of beef will soon skyrocket. It’s a case of “supply and demand” coming into play. But one has to look a little deeper to understand this.

The lack of snowfall this past winter has created water shortages from coast to coast. Rivers, lakes, streams, and water reservoirs are damned near empty. A drought is already in effect across most of the Midwest, and this can be witnessed by the lack of crop irrigation.

Farmers can’t water their crops, ranchers are raising less cattle, and the chain-reaction is that less crops mean less grains headed to the stores; and less beef being produced for consumption. Already the price of corn, soybeans, wheat, barley, and other essential crops are going through the roof. Feeder cattle prices, as well as hog sales prices have jumped to near high records.

The trickle-down effect has reached its juncture as well. As the prices of farm products climb upwards, the demand increases beyond production capacities. Certain other industries rely heavily on America’s agricultural output. The price of fuel, tractor parts, labor rates, veterinarian services, and other associated businesses are feeling the pinch. In turn, they have to raise their prices exponentially in order to offset the decline in their business. In the end, that means you and I are paying for all of the loss suffered by the most important element within America’s infrastructure—our food production base.

Everywhere that I travel, I see the signs of an impending collapse staring us in the face. It’s right there, visible to the naked eye, and its scary to think what is right around the corner.

The other day a friend told me that the administration wants to tax those of us that have gardens. I’m not sure if that is true, since I haven’t had the time to research it. But the obvious ramifications, if this is in fact true, really pisses me off. How dare they infringe upon the aged-old method of self-subsistence that has kept many families fed since the dawn of this country.  How dare they tax something as essential as keeping food on the table during difficult times. How dare they think that Americans will go along with this outright blatant BS designed to control our food supply.

They dare to attempt this for several different reasons; chiefly because the younger “none-voting”-crowd are to stupid to get off their butts and scream at the very idea. They dare this because most people will not hit the voting booth, and they dare this because the understand the prevalent apathetic tragedy that has become American politics. Everyone complains about it, but few people will actually take the time to protest, lift their voices, or vote these monkeys out of office. The same people that are caught up in the intricacies of the next reality television episode, or the newest phone application to hit the market. These are the people that can be partially blamed for this country’s downfall.

During my travels I have talked with quite a few of the younger crowd. Men and Women working in the truck stops for slightly better than minimum wage. One particular 27 year old young lady told me that she had never voted in her life, and that she didn’t care about politics on way or another. At home, her mother was taking care of her two minor children, and her step-father co-signed for a brand new imported sports car which carries her to work everyday.

I have spoken with young men who boast that they have fathered four children with different mothers, and hop from bed to bed in an never-ending zeal for sexual conquest. Young men adorned with multiple tattoos, facial  piercing, and sporting the latest hip-hop fashion trends, along with the requisite IPhone blasting music into their ear-canals. Never mind that they are working a minimum wage job, or that the clothes costs more than what they earn in one week—they still live at home with mommy, and the babies that they fathered are being cared for by other parents.

It feels like America’s parents have stopped giving a damned, and just allowed their (now grown up) children to do whatever they please without regard for the consequences. Young adults today could care less about how the country is ran, or who is sitting in the oval office making the decisions that will guide this country into the next century. These kids are caught up in all of the post-modernistic trivialities that don’t means squat in the long term. All of the fancy electronics flooding the market is being snapped-up by technology hungry kids that have no clue about the US Constitution, nor about the impending collapse that is just right around the corner.

If I have learned anything thus far in my travels, it’s that America is poised to drop down the crapper real soon. Never mind what all of the talking heads strutting around on the major television networks are saying—they live in a different world than we do. Their million dollar salary and corporate perks insulate them from the rest of us struggling down here on the streets of America.

But when TSHTF, their going to be the first that will suffer. What use is a television anchor-person when the networks are gone, when the electricity is no more, and when the ash clouds of hell descends upon the country. I sincerely hope that they have a backup plan.

I read the Southern Poverty Law Center’s report about the rise of militias across the country, as well as the rise of the hate groups. The reports states that dissatisfaction with the governments handling of domestic policies has pushed the envelope to levels unheard of in the USA. It’ no wonder, considering the policies in effect right now. Domestic polices as well as foreign policies which squander the country's wealth, by supplying Europe, Asia, and the mid-east with BILLIONS of tax dollars, while consequently the IRS is ramping up it’s collection efforts by hiring 18,000 new tax inspectors. At a time when the Gross National Domestic Output is edging dangerously close to the Gross National Debt; these clowns in office are turning inwards against the very people that pay their salaries.

To say that people are pissed off, would be the understatement of the year. Everywhere that I go I hear the winds of discontentment. People from all walks of life, from various income levels, and even those with graduate degrees, are voicing their anger. But, I wonder how many actually take it upon themselves to get angry enough to hit the voting booth this year—even at the local level it counts.

Only time will tell what happens to each of us. As we go about the tasks of living in our day-to-day existence, raising our families, and trying to keep our heads above water, sinister elements are rapidly developing in the background which could create the conditions conducive enough to signal the rapid demise of America’s way of life—that means YOUR LIVES and mine!

Consider the fragilities of both our lives, our economy, and how it could play out in the end. I truly hope that you are squared away with enough food and supplies to enable you and yours to maintain the forward momentum during those terrible times.

Till Next Time..

RISK ANALYSIS & MITIGATION SUMMARY: The Soviet Threat To Alaska

420px-Military_districts_of_Russia_2010_svg

THE ALASKA WATCHMEN GROUP

RISK ANALYSIS & MITIGATION SUMMARY

The Soviet Threat To Alaska

SYNOPSIS:

Given the historical and existing current assumptions, as well as strategies involving the Soviet's Cold War era aspiration of Alaska; to wit, it's abundant natural resources, as well as Alaska's strategic location within the northern hemisphere; a thorough analysis of this prevalent threat is therefore required in order to arrive within a the framework of a predicated response which mitigates the omnipresent threat thereof.

Assumption #1:

Current global situations across the theater provide both a realistic, as well as favorable environment for an unprecedented incursion by the Soviet military apparatus into mainland Alaska territories.

The Russian geopolitical and economic situation(s) have reached a critical stage. Widespread dissatisfaction of Vladimir Putin's domestic and foreign polices has given rise to street level protests, some of which have turned deadly.

The primary hub of the Soviet Politburo has always been focused upon their maintaining the status quo within their organizational composition. Dissatisfaction has been historically dealt with at the extreme levels, or by carefully orchestrated deflection of the domestic issues through foreign interventionism; as was the case in the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Assumption #2:

America and its NATO allies, as well as coalition partners, are presently involved within the scope of several multilevel regional conflict(s) which are quickly and disproportionately draining America's strategic reserves, both in the terms of resources and manpower, as well as public opinion.

Assumption #3:

Japan has recently fulfilled a multi-level commerce agreement with its arch-enemy The People's Republic of China. A deal that is viewed by the west as unprecedented, and gives potential for what many believed are a shift in the balance of power among Pan-Asian countries.

Japan is wholly reliant upon America and NATO for its defense, notwithstanding the empire's self-defense forces which are wholly inadequate in dealing with anything more than a local insurrection, or short-term conflicts within its own domicile.

Assumption #4:

The People's Republic of China has repeatedly warned America and NATO allies that interference with its domestic polices regarding Taiwan would harbor consequences. This is evidenced by the increasingly hostile attitude within the military stratocracy, and its aspiration for dominance within the Pan-Asian region; an area that China claims as sovereign territory--including Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, and other Pacific island within the circle of influence.

China's rapid military build-up, and the rearmament of the military services has grown exponentially over the last decade. Its current stockpile of short-range, and medium range missile, as well as its blue water naval capabilities, and strategic air assets; indicate a quiet reaffirmation of its foreign adventurism polices within the region.

Nuclear capabilities, as well as long-range delivery methods have likewise increased, as well as stealth fighter capabilities.

Assumption #5:

North Koreas continual tirade against its neighbors to the south, and threats of global nuclear conflicts have risen sharply since the demise of its former leader. North Korea's military governance has become increasingly hostile toward outsiders.

The primary supplier of weapons, armaments, and munitions to the North Korean military remains unchanged--China and Russia.

Assumption #6:

Given the volatile nature, as well as unpredictable tendencies of global economies, and the increasing shift in Asian attitudes towards the west; it should not surprise America and NATO when The People's Republic of China asserts its power against Taiwan through military force.

Intervention by America would create an immediate regional threat which has the capability to migrate into a global event. China's avowed partners include the Soviet Union, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and other Asian states.

American intercession would open the doors for other state players to enter the dispute; thereby creating opportunistic scenarios for the Soviet Union to fulfill its longstanding initiatives for the reacquisition of its former Alaskan territories.

Strategic Outlook:

Alaska is entirely dependent upon rail, maritime, roadway, and air transport of critical consumer, as well as defense inventories. Any minor disruption of these critical transportation system could create severe consequences for Alaska residents, as well as its military presence.

Within the scope of Alaska's territorial boundaries, certain geographic elements preclude rapid evacuation from affected areas. The ocean and mountainous barriers, as well as weather patterns create unfavorable conditions for a in-depth defensive stratagems. Given the technological advances, and weapons capability of the opponents, the Alaska military presence could offer but token resistance; much akin to the American strategic withdrawal into Seoul during the Korean conflict.

Alaska has little or no naval capability, and limited air capabilities. Given the Soviet invasion doctrine, the rapid development and employment of surface-to-air measures would greatly affect Alaska's air assets. The introduction of the SU-3000 missile system, as well as other delivery systems, likewise preclude air interdiction operations from within Canadian resources.

Soviet doctrines indicate a massed envelopment of the key facilities such as airfields, naval ports, commerce centers, as well as road junctures. Paratroop regiments and Spetnaz (Special Forces) could conceivably limit or restrict movement into or around denied areas; thereby creating static denial areas which preclude rapid facilitation of movement throughout the area; thereby limiting Alaskan mobility and/or tactical response(s).

Soviet naval transport forces, as well as air transportation capability would likely be utilized throughout Alaska, in an effort to secure key facilities. Within hours, the Soviets could transport several combat divisions into the areas already under their control.

It is theoretical that within three days, given the limited response capability within Alaska's military forces, that the Soviet Union could predictably occupy much of Alaska's cities, and other key strategic areas. It is without doubt that a "Denial of Opportunity" strategies employed by the Soviet forces could prevent rapid facilitation of reinforcements through Canada, or by sea lanes.

The proximity of Alaska to the Soviet Union, provides adequate defense in depth capabilities, as well as movement of critical supplies and additional follow-up forces.

Risk Mitigation & Response Strategies:

Understanding the geographical nature of Alaska, and its dependence upon outside resources, the military forces stationed within Alaska would be fighting on an asymmetrical forum. The defense would almost have to consists of delaying actions until reinforcements from other commands could arrive.

Given the current limited heavy armor, mechanized, and artillery disposition within the state's military organizational structures; it would be reasonable to assume an immediate, and potentially fatal assailment by Soviet military forces against these particular units.

Perhaps; in less than 72-hours the military presence in Alaska could be reduced to token levels of military resistance, if not a total capitulation of its forces into Soviet hands, as was the case during the Second World War Corregidor battles, whereby 30,000 combat troops surrendered to the Japanese forces due to lack of critical resources and reinforcement capabilities within the theater.

Key Response Strategies:

1. How would the Alaska State Guard be implemented in order to support Alaska's military forces?

2. Could a rapid draft of civilian citizens be mandated that would allow a swift integration into the overall defense of vital cities and/or population centers?

3. Are there sufficient military munitions inventories stockpiled in order to sustain multi-level protracted defensive actions?

4. Is it possible for Alaska to garrison adequate surface naval forces, as well as submarine capabilities to offset "denial of area" strategies utilized by a Soviet invasion?

5. What programs are currently active to protect vital government facilities, as well as civilian population centers?

6. Does Alaska maintain sufficient medical facilities, triage centers, and first echelon treatment capability to handle casualty rates of this nature?

ALASKA WATCHMEN GROUP

ADDENDUM TO RISK ANALYSIS & MITIGATION SUMMARY

Soviet Military Forces Disposition:

The Soviet military forces responsible for defense of the eastern region of the Soviet Union falls upon the Far Eastern Military District; a Red Banner Group commanded by Colonel-General O.L. Salyukov who assumed command in 2009.

The Far Eastern Military Districts is comprised of the following units:

14th Separate Brigade of Special Designation (Spetsnaz)

The 5th Army

The 35th Army,

HQ 68th Corps

Four Motor Rifle Divisions,

Four Machine-Gun/Artillery Divisions

83rd Airborne Brigade (With an incorporated light tank battalion)

635/654 and/or 954/598 Separate Airborne Battalions

Guards artillery battalion, and support units.

Ten units in the DVVO are now manned by contract servicemen.

Naval Forces Disposition:

Eastern Military District - Eastern Joint Strategic Command Pacific Fleet:

(1) Slava class cruiser

(1) Sovremennyy class destroyer

(4) Udaloy class destroyer

(3) Delta III class submarine

)2) Oscar class submarine

(5) Akula class submarine

(7) Kilo class submarine

The Pacific Fleet also includes coastal combatants such as corvettes and patrol ships, mine warfare vessels, support and logistic ships and light amphibious ships.

Naval Infantry:

9 motor-rifle brigades

1 tank brigade

1 Russian Airborne Troops brigade

1 Naval Infantry Brigade

7 bases for storage of weapons and equipment

Historical precedents accomplished by the Far Eastern Military District:

On August 20 Georgy Zhukov opened a major offensive with heavy air attack and three hours of artillery bombardment, after which three infantry divisions and five armoured brigades, supported by a fighter regiment and masses of artillery (57 thousand troops in total), stormed the 75,000 Japanese force deeply entrenched in the area. On August 23 the entire Japanese force found itself encircled, and on August 31 largely destroyed. Artillery and air attacks wiped out those Japanese who refused to surrender. Japan requested a cease-fire, and the conflict concluded with an agreement between the USSR, Mongolia and Japan signed on September 15 in Moscow. In the conflict, the Red Army losses were 9,703 killed in action (KIA) and missing in action (MIA) and 15,952 wounded. The Japanese lost 25,000 KIA; the grand total was 61,000 killed, missing, wounded and taken prisoner.

Shortly after the cease-fire, the Japanese negotiated access to the battlefields to collect their dead. Finding thousands upon thousands of dead bodies came as a further shock to the already shaken morale of the Japanese soldiers. The scale of the defeat probably became a major factor in discouraging a Japanese attack on the USSR during World War II, which allowed the Red Army to switch a large number of its Far Eastern troops into the European Theatre in the desperate autumn of 1941.

Conclusions:

[ The aforementioned assumptions are derived from my own research; and the following conclusions are likewise derived from my own research. The reader is advised to do his/her own research in order to arrive at their own conclusions. Franke Schein - March 30th 2012 - Anchorage, Alaska)

A quick analysis of the distance separating Alaska from the Russian Peninsula indicates that a mere 65(+/-) miles separates the two countries. 65-Nautical miles is nothing when considering the speed at which modern military formations are capable of producing.

Throughout the context of this document, it is clearly evident that the Far Eastern Military District is comprised of several Army Groups with attached support apparatus, as well as naval forces, and special forces units. The rapid deployment of these units, and their inherent cross-country capability is without doubt substantial in itself.

Unconfirmed analysis also indicates that at least four Hydro boats are deployed in the district, in order to facilitate rapid movement of combat regiments, light armor, and heavy armor units.

The several different airborne units, as well as the air-mobile units are part of the rapid deployment structure common to Soviet Doctrine of Warfare. The augmentation of several air-defense forces at both the Army Group, Divisional, and brigade levels; indicates a rapid response capability which matches the US capabilities in many degrees.

Artillery, chemical, military police, KGB, and other essential units are indigenous to the Military District's Operational structure.

What is concerning are the number of submarines laying just off Alaska's coastal areas; some of which have been updated with modern technologies and weapons delivery systems. It's would be feasible for these submarine forces to deny access to the Bearing Sea, or even the Pacific approaches that could be utilized by the US Naval Forces.

In all; there exists a colossal Soviet military force within quick striking distance of Alaska's shores. Given that the American military presence in Alaska is minimal; should a cross oceanic invasion occur, the Soviets would likely seize large swaths of strategic areas within Alaska, while denying the Alaska military forces movement capability.

I believe that American military force's only option would be to conduct delaying tactics while reinforcements from the lower-48 states could arrive. Much like the obstacles that US/ROK forces faced during the Korean war; would in all likelihood be repeated here in Alaska.

Soviet warfare doctrine has not change much since World War Two. Their advancement in weapons capabilities, as well as war-fighting and signals technology mirrors the achievement of the US. But, their special designation units, as well as advance teams would likely infiltrate into Alaska before the planned invasion. This is evidenced in the Soviets previous cross-border invasions since the 1915 era wars. Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia, and other break-away republics were dealt with in the same manner.

Historically the Airborne units, special forces, as well as air-mobile units would be the first echelon formation. Their movement would without doubt, be preceded by a massive air campaign against US Air force assets, as well as a rapid employment of anti-air units to counter any potential attacks by American air assets, and submarine based missile strikes against American artillery units.

Soviet Advance teams could feasible shut down major maritime ports, airfields, and highways leading away from the proposed naval landing areas. Follow-Up forces would include mechanized infantry, light and heavy tanks, as well as mobile rocket launchers and field artillery.

A gradual widening of the area, and pacification of the surrounding civilian areas would then be next on the roster. Pacification is normally carried out through intimidation by a strong show of force, or the outright executions of community leaders, resistance units, and captured military personnel.

Soviet doctrine dictates a rapid envelopment of key objectives, and control of roads, bridges, and government facilities within a 24-hour period. Follow-up forces then bring combined arms units (mechanized Infantry with heavy tank support) against strategic areas. Air defense and field artillery units are an integral parts of this doctrine.

These assumptions and conclusions are based upon an invasion forces seizing a single objective along Alaska's coastline. It's quite possible, and very likely, that several different ports and airfields across Alaska would be seized at the same time. If this is truly the case, then I submit that an asymmetrical war would greatly intensify the conflict beyonf what the Alaska based military is capable of dealing with.

Situational Alert:

warning_flashing

President Obama today shut-off Iran’s capability to export their oil to other countries, and promised swift financial actions against countries that ignore these UN sanctioned actions.

[ Details can be found here:  Obama sets stage for tough new sanctions targeting Iran’s oil  ]

In earlier articles I have warned that increased sanctions against Iran could lead to fifth column attacks against America and it’s allies. I am concerned about the possibilities that Iranian Special Forces teams located in America, could undertake actions against civilians, and perhaps America’s oil production system.

I am advising that everyone maintain a situational awareness through the next few weeks. as this situation develops, it could suddenly intensify with little or no warning.

The Israeli Defense Forces are prepared to initiate a strike against Iran at the first sign of Scuds or missile emanating from that area.

Folks; the world will not be safe until the madmen in Tehran have their nuclear toys taken away.

Jihad: Where is The Outrage

jihadi_victims

Mohamed Merah, a 23 year old Jihadist from Afghanistan killed seven people, including several children. Take a close look at these kids and then ask yourself one simple undeniable truth:

“WHY IS THERE NO OUTRAGE FROM AMERICAN MUSLIMS?”

Why are they keeping quiet about the premeditated slaughter of these children?

I won’t post that bastards picture on my blog, but in an even more disgusting development, the father that sired this SOB wants to sue France for killing his son. Of course Momma is all tore up that her son was killed, and never once says anything about the dead children that have been flown to Israel for burial.

Remember this folks; it’s election year—and those people running for office that have given these monsters a voice in American policies should be remembered for their action when you step into the voting booth.

It’s only a matter fo time before more of these jihadist murders start occurring the the USA

Attorney General Eric Holder 1995: We Must ‘Brainwash’ People Against Guns

November elections are coming around fast. Remember this when you head into the voting booth. It’s guys like Eric Holder, and those that appoint them—that should dictate who you cast your vote for. Don’t complain about things that you don’t like, if you are not willing to step up to the plate and do something about them. Your apathy negates your right to whine about it later.

Volcano Eruption in Japan on Tuesday, 13 March, 2012 at 15:15 (03:15 PM) UTC.

Description

Sakurajima continued its second day of violent eruptions on Tuesday, spewing hot rocks and ash, but there was no major damage in the vicinity, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said. The agency said Monday's powerful eruption was the most forceful since 2009. The volcano is located in the southern prefecture of Kagoshima. The Meteorological Agency added that the volcano has been erupting steadily for the last two years, but the eruption on Monday turned violent, throwing 50-centimetre (1 foot 6 inches) rocks nearly 1.2 miles away, the furthest since 2009. In response, the Meteorological agency extended the eruption warning to residents living further away from the mouth of the volcano. The volcano has already had over 300 eruptions this year. Sakurajima volcano, one of Japan's more active volcanoes, resumed activity in 1955 and has been active ever since. Sakurajima volcano in Japan's southern Kagoshima prefecture erupts violently in what officials say is the most powerful since 2009, though there has been no damage so far.

Volcano Activity in Colombia on Saturday, 10 March, 2012 at 03:56 (03:56 AM) UTC.

Description

The Nevado del Ruiz volcano, whose eruption 26 years ago killed around 25,000 people, is showing signs of activity after nearly 20 years laying dormant, said Colombian geological group Ingeominas Thursday. Early Friday morning, geologists completed an observational fly-over with the assistance of the Colombian Air Force, during which they photographed the Nevado del Ruiz volcano and noted "ash on the glacier, near the crater rim and on the eastern flank," as well as a 4,500 foot gas column at the mouth of the volcano. During the same day a seismic tremor was reported along with an increase in sulfur dioxide emissions. All of these factors signal that the volcano is heating up. Located about 80 miles west of Bogota, Nevado del Ruiz is an active volcano that produces pyroclastic flows, or swift currents of hot gas and rock that lead to destructive mudslides. There have been numerous eruptions over the centuries, with the most recent was on November 13, 1985.

Volcano Eruption in Russia [Asia] on Friday, 09 March, 2012 at 08:22 (08:22 AM) UTC.

Description

Friday saw a new eruption of the Bezymianny volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East. Earlier in the day, the volcano spewed ash up to 8 kilometers high, seismologists said, adding that the eruption does not pose a threat to population centers in the area. One of the most active volcanoes in the world, Bezymianny is located 350 kilometers northeast of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. During its most powerful eruption in 1956, the 2,800-meter volcano ejected about three cubic kilometers of volcanic debris in a very short time.

Volcano Eruption in USA on Friday, 09 March, 2012 at 04:02 (04:02 AM) UTC.

Description

Monitors have detected what is described as a small explosion at the Cleveland Volcano in Alaska. The volcano is located in Alaska's remote Aleutian Islands, southwest of Anchorage. According to the Alaska Volcano Observatory, the eruption happened just after 7 p.m. Wednesday. The incident was similar to eruptions in December which sent small ash clouds into the atmosphere. But they were small enough to dissipate quickly, and did not interfere with air traffic. Photos of the latest explosion was masked by cloud cover so satellite imagery is unavailable.

Volcano Eruption in Ecuador on Monday, 05 March, 2012 at 03:33 (03:33 AM) UTC.

Description

Ecuador's Instituto Geofísico (IG) reports an increase of Tunguarahua volcano's activity: Since last night (3 March), 4 explosions have been reported of moderate to large size. An explosion at 07:31 local time today produced an ash columnreaching about 4 km in height and drifting to the west - northwest. A second explosion took place at 09:11 (local time) and produced a strong shock wave that rattled the ground and windows in nearby areas. CLoud cover has prevented detailed observations, but with the help of thermal sensors, hot fresh deposits were detected on the flanks, suggesting they were the result of a pyroclastic flow. In the morning, the observatory post at Cusúa reported the presence of hot deposits on the upper flank typical for fresh pyroclastic flow deposits. Ash fall was reported from Choglontús, Manzano and Motilones areas before, and this morning ashfall reached the Yuibug area. The monitoring system has been recording variable seismicity and powerful tremor episodes lasting minutes to hours (which probably indicate rising magma), interrupted by short moderate to large explosion signals corresponding to the ash eruptions from the growing lava dome.
